- Attempting to fend off a cold which includes trying these "Cold-eeze" things. If they work great, but ick. Couldn't they get them to taste remotely good? Really hoping they work as I'm not looking forward to being sick over the weekend with plenty of stuff on the "to-do" list (hah, like there's ever not?)
- Will try to cut out the caffiene to see if that helps me sleep better. Very sad. But probably a lot better for the budget. Once it gets warmer (almost ready to say "if" at this point) that will help since won't be so desperate for something nice and warm in the mornings.
- Allie has figured out we've been putting hair clips on them to keep the bangs away so now she'll just yank it out and eat it. Can't have that so they got their bangs trimmed (hubby calls it the "quarter bowl" cut) so we have a little time to check into other options if I want to grow them out.
- As it was time for the annual OB visit, I stopped by the RE's office with new pictures of the girls (I forgot to send them any pics until now) Very surreal to be in that office again. Of course the receptionist joking around asked if they'd be seeing us anytime soon. Um, no - we're pretty good for a long time. Don't get me wrong as I love our girls but the chance of another set of twins? Oh boy.....would have to re-introduce large amounts of said caffiene.
- This weekend's attempted schedule - find a new kitty friend for our lone cat who is driving us nuts, deal with insurance matters - fun fun, decide what's going on in terms of the basement and their party, and watch MU vs. K-State. Of course add in the standard clean up, laundry, and starting to tag stuff for the twin sale in April.
- Why are we getting kitty a friend? She's gone beyond attention-starved. Usually - well strike that for anytime - if you try to eat anything in front of the girls, they want a sample. Kitty has decided to join in the fun. I was trying to give Allie a bite while sitting on the floor (Allie is trying to crawl up into my lap) and kitty puts her front paws on my other knee looking for her bite. As kitty hates most any food besides her filet mignon flavored fancy feast (picky picky!) so she obviously was just trying to outdo Allie. Lovely.
Try for more fun leftovers next week - not sleeping well with the beginnings of a cold has me in a bit of a fog. At least the no caffiene doesn't start until Monday so hello soda!

Hot decaf tea in the morning! Warm in your hand!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the no caffeine. I don't think I could do it. What are your plans for more kids. Will you try again later on, not anytime soon, but later on???
ReplyDeleteI gave up diet coke recently. It is hard at first but gets easier and soon you will feel great. Just don't substitute it with cupcakes :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried to give up caffeine and I just can't. Unless I'm pregnant, I can't find the internal motivation to do it.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
I understand the caffeine sadness. I might have to cut down too and just thinking about it made me drink 4 cups today...
ReplyDeleteAll caffeine? Nada, zilch, nothing? I'm not a HUGE caffeine drinker but I have to have at least one cup in the morning or I will be beat down by mid afternoon.
ReplyDeleteKinsley thinks it is a game to take her hair out. She has pieces that get in her eyes, and it irritates me, so I play this game of putting her hair up all day long.
I gave up all caffeine when I was pregnant and I never picked it back up. I love tea! Herbal and caffeine free. Good luck! The cat story about eating is cute. :) I am bad I never sent the OB pictures and when I see her at the grocery store she still tells me to send pictures. That is how smallish my town is.
ReplyDeleteCaffeine is my friend...not a very good friend, but she sure makes me feel good.
ReplyDeleteWe've been fighting the hair war with Roo too. We can'd decide whether to de-mullet her or not. If we do, we can't do ponies...if we don't she rocks a mullet...ahhh, such struggles I have as a mom ;)
I gave up caffeine a couple of years ago and I honestly don't even miss it. I did for a little bit, but I started sleeping better right away.
ReplyDeleteI'm a caffine-in-the-form-of-chocolate girl, and have recently contemplated starting to drink coffee . . . this motherhood thing is kicking my rear! My want to grow my oldest daughter's bangs out something fierce, and am hoping to avoid them all together with the baby, though she has caught on to the clip as well. Who knew the hair drama started so young?!
