Back in the swing of things

wow.......that's a cheese-ball title for sure....... I'm starting to honestly think any creative brain cells I had were sucked away during pregnancy.

So (sigh) the weekend after next is a decade birthday for me. I don't know why 30 bugs me but it does. I don't consider any of our friends who are 30 old but me at 30 is old. So I figured maybe to help combat that I would work at getting back to a normal routine and things I used to do pre-TTC / pre-pregnancy and so forth.

And that's where the cheesy title comes in. Don't get me wrong: I have never been a great golfer. But take 9 months or so off and yikes!! I plain stink. We have a charity tournament we've played in the last couple years next Friday and it's going to be ugly. Not to mention since I'm not quite in physical shape, one long driving range outing left me way too sore. Now it doesn't help that the hubby is very good. Here I am trying to drive the ball any distance I can get it to go after a year of not playing next to the hubby who routinely drives 300+ yards like it's nothing. I tend to be on the perfectionist side of things so very annoyed that my golf game has gone kaput. (again not that it was even close to LPGA standards)

Same goes for working out. I used to do a lot and was in pretty good shape. Well I guess I'm starting over back at square one after the pregnancy and 4 months of couch /modified bed rest. Ugh. Things I could do pretty easily a year or so ago, well let's say that's not the case as of yet. Now my plan to be completely "back in shape" by my birthday may have been a bit lofty and nit-picky for a goal but I'm going to try my best (haha I'd say if it kills me which may be the case) So free time apparently is gone from my vocabulary between the girls, attempting to sleep, practice my golf swing, working out, blogging, and household chores.
(priorities right? blogging comes before laundry)

And one other thing non-sports I like to do is weather watch. Probably boring to some but I love watching storms. So today's forecast of storms possibly all day is entertaining for me (sad isn't it?)
The first two pics are from earlier today before a storm. The last pic is from a week or so ago (just to show how much water we get at the bottom of our little hill) I took it standing on our driveway culvert that you see in the 2nd pic.

Very irrelevant to the topic but for fun I'll throw in some baby pics. I know they look alike. I kind of hope they are fraternal and differences start to show up because it's starting to get tricky at times to tell who's who. (we do have painted toenails as a backup though currently)

Yup I'm a sucker.........aw aren't they cute? I tell the hubby he's biased when he says that but of course I am too.

Weather watch, no way! I'm chicken little and get ready to grab the kids and huddle.

  2. They are adorable! Even if they are identical, you'll soon be able to tell them apart no problem. - Tkeys
