taking the definition as an intricate and difficult problem. (no not calling Allie per se a problem but, well, read on..........)
I'll quickly interject the fun tidbit of the day so in case "baby problems" posts don't intrigue you :p
Funny part is we used to work right by that location so I think I know that particular restaurant.
Hehe guess I should go buy the girls shoes for when we go out.
So Allie............ back a month or so ago wasn't the easiest baby to feed. Fussy, full of gas, vocal.........just not a fun time. We tried a few different bottles, standing up while feeding her, and so forth. Eventually she got better.
Until this week of course. The past few days she screams either during or after the bottle, is full of gas / burping a lot, eating less on average, and once again, not a happy camper. Offhand I was going to call their pediatrician and see if he had any thoughts (silent reflux?) on how to make her feedings go a bit smoother.
Well after tonight I'm going to make sure - she (and her sister) were taking a small evening nap and all of a sudden Allie is screaming her head off. Of coures besides figuring out Allie, now Audrey is awake too. I pick her up to no avail. Still ticked to high hell. Hubby was at the gas station so I drug Audrey and her into their room to keep tabs on Audrey while trying in vain to calm Allie down. Got her down to her diaper to check for anything and she has a few cluster areas of rash on her tummy. I'm thinking it's tied to the new outfits they had on but with her digestive fun reappearing, we'll run it by the doctor. Took over an hour to get her calmed down and just made for a very frustrating evening. Right now she's happily chewing away on a hippopotamus toy so hoping she goes to bed and forgets the screaming episode.
Poor baby. I hope you can get her in tomorrow and make her more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteHmmm is it possible it is gas? Is she curling up her legs? Poor thing. I hope the doctor gives you a remedy and Allie cuts you a break.

Poor baby. I hope the doc figures out a way to relieve her gas and burping.
ReplyDeleteIt could definitely be reflux - Micah was doing that. The other thing you can try is Enfamil Gentlease formula - it is partially digested to make it easier on their bellies. - Tkeys
