Patience, perseverance, and a few pics

Sorry to disappoint if the title sounds inspiring. Welcome to another pretty pointless post.

As for the comments from the last post, the chairs are the FP space saver high chairs. I would say if you're looking for something like that, it's pretty nice. Doesn't take up extra space (well obviously,) has three recline settings (one for newborns) and so far the girls haven't protested sitting in them. We have an old dining table in our breakfast room and saw no need to buy two full sized highchairs so hence why we picked those. (Also if need be can throw them in the back of the truck)

Moving on.................
Patience: I still have none. Sometimes, I swear it's getting worse. (not to potentially gross anyone out, but I started getting a couple bumps on my eyelid. Instead of waiting a few weeks and trying hot compresses, of course I decided I can take of them myself. Um, not so much.) Haha....we'll see if I accomplished anything once the swelling goes away. Same principle applies to the lovely dime-sized and very obvious scar on my wrist. Back in January, hubby informed me he was going to be late coming home. I'm stuck at home (couch arrest) and got hungry and decided I'd just throw in the frozen pizza versus waiting for him. Good idea right? The bad idea was not taking the freaking 5 seconds to pull out the oven rack and then place the pizza on it. Thumb nicks the hot oven rack, involuntary action sends my wrist into the top of the oven, and wham, crispy wrist. I'll never learn.

Perseverance: A couple posts ago, I posted the picture of the squirrels getting into our "squirrel proof" birdfeeder. (Yes, I warned you this wasn't going to be a very inspiring post)
Well hubby moved the feeder and put the hummingbird feeder in it's place. Guess the squirrels have decided that either way, they will get to the feeder. (Do they even like overly-sweetened liquid?)

Guess this might fall under the same category. The girls are trying to hold their bottles but they can't quite do it. Mostly because they try to grab at the very top and physics/gravity kicks in. Well, Audrey found a solution: involve your other limbs.

I have a pretty nice camera - nothing crazy in terms of manual options but it does what we want well enough. Except for the recent attempt at trying to photograph hummingbirds. Not so simple. This was the best I could get, and that's even without the little guy on the move.

And as last night was not fun with Allie in a complete fit, I'll show her in a slightly happier mood.

  1. You would know that Allie was in a bad mood with that big ole smile on her face.

I used to have to just wad up their blankets to help them hold their bottles. Mom only has two hands to their 6.

  2. We had a high chair like that for Zilla. I LOVED it! It was so easy to clean too. Toss the fabric cover in the wash and hose down the seat. I love them WAY more then the traditional high chairs.

Way to go Audrey! (love that name btw) So inventive. Allie be n ice for mommy. No more crying. She needs it. Plus you'll be WAY happier if you don't cry. It's TRUE!

    Hope all goes well tomorrow!

  3. My patience borders on absurd. I mean that I have none either.

  5. Love the pictures (toes are useful!)!! My parents have similar problems with squirrel proofing bird feeders! I'm using this post for my "post that mentions" animals for blogger bingo! THANKS! :-)
