Test babies

Ok so hoping to get outside for the Friday Shoot-out later

First - I'm making this a lighter-style post but in all seriousness wasn't too happy this morning. We found a second playmat for the girls since two of them were getting too big for one (sort of a kicking / scratching fest with two on one mat)

Anyway we found the FP Rainforest gym so all good. Except, and I haven't found anyone else that had this problem, there's a paddle spinner which Audrey, excellent baby product tester she is, discovered has a flaw.

Now I took this pic when she got her foot in the toy a second time. (stupid me, I left it sitting on the mat) The bigger problem was the first time it happened, the toy was still attached to the gym and her leg was just stuck. So we detached the toy pretty quick sans camera. While yeah, not supposed to leave them to play unsupervised (which we try not to do except to grab something here or there) either way the parrot is getting the ax.

Audrey says "this mat, no good- time to leave"

Kidding - she has dicovered the backwards scoot and now goes all over the place. Notice the pillow in front of the pack-n-play. She was scooting that direction and bonking her head on the wheel so we for now fixed that. Guess we're starting that lovely "baby-proofing" stage.

Allie - "this mat is fine"
More later.............sounds like it's about bottle time

  1. Never had that problem with our playmat! But, we have attached other little random toys to it that they could actually reach.

You are going to have a mover on your hands very soon!

  2. Interesting description of the mat. Thanks for posting the pictures. I haven't decided what play mat we want to use for the girls yet.

And that scoot thing Audrey does must be so cute. LOL

  3. I mean, don't get me wrong, we have the newer fisher price mat (precious planet?) and it's fine but I'm now making sure a bit more on their little toys. We had some animals / teethers to put up instead of the parrot on the rainforest one.

Amy - there's tons out there but the precious planet was a big bigger / more open than some so up until now, they both just used that one pretty easily. The rainforest does have lights though (precious planet does not) which the girls seem to like.

  5. Yeah - not so safe. You should report the problem so they can do something about it. I love the scooting - it is amazing how much they can get into. - Tkeys
