Not sure why, both girls were up around 5:30 and not in the mood to put themselves back to sleep. Hubby and I interferred a bit and got them snoozing and back to bed we go. Of course, then there's a rumbling in the distance. I love storms. Love listening to them, and probably the rain especially would help me sleep. Slight problem though that the last two times it has stormed over the night, it wakes the girls up. Little while later, a major storm rolls through (enough noise to shake the house, the power went off/on which then means you have to reset the monitor, fun times)
By the end of it (6:30) the girls are wide awake so we fed them and spent the next hour and a half trying to nap off and on. They slept for the most part until 8:30 when Allie (and I) got up and after letting hubby sleep for a bit longer I kicked him out in search of coffee. Hmmm not off to a great start on budgeting. Hello Starbucks! (I'm not partial, it's just the closest)
Now as they slept from 10 until 5:30, of course the girls were nice and refreshed.
Allie (I'd say she's saying "no more pictures" but she's probaby rubbing her eyes in an attempt not to take a nap)
Better yet, their last evening bottle went without a hitch. I'm dead tired and thinking I'm about to get sleep. Oh...........wrong. Both girls not ready to sleep, yet overtired, decided to fuss and make a huge racket for a couple of hours. Finally get them to sleep - let's say I could use that not happening again for a long time.
As long as someone is sleeping. Better the girls than no one.
ReplyDeleteHope you and DH can follow their example soon!
Here's hoping you get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteGirls..sleep PLEASE! good luck, hon!
*HUGS*
I think the energy level of children is in direct proportion to the amount of sleep the parents get. Good luck!
